How do discounts & promotions stack in Your.Rentals channel manager

In Your.Rentals you can set the price discounts and promotional deals for each listing, which will be delivered to the linked channels (Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, etc.). This is how they are prioritised on the channels.

You can set these discounts in the Discounts section of the listing’s Builder.

There are several types of discounts available in Your.Rentals account:

How discounts are sent to sales channels

Your.Rentals sends all discounts to every sales channel that supports them. However, certain sales channels may have API limitations, causing some discounts to be unsupported or to function differently than desired by Your.Rentals. 

Your.Rentals provides the discount rules to channels, but the application and calculation of final listing prices in the sales channel are determined solely by the sales channels themselves. Your.Rentals does not influence this process.

How the booking price is generated by Your.Rentals

Your.Rentals accepts prices from various channels such as Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, Airbnb, VRBO, and channels via NextPax – Campaya, Check24, Finn, Marriott, and Google. This means that when a booking is received from a sales channel and created in Your.Rentals, the rental price is automatically transferred from the sales channel to create the booking in Your.Rentals.

Discounts and Seasonal rates

Longer stay discount is the only type of Your.Rentals discounts that works in connection with the Seasonal rates.

  • If you want to reflect the Longer stays discount on top of the Seasonal rate, you can go to Builder > Seasonal rates and check the ‘Allow combination with longer stay discount’ option. This will apply the Longer stay discount over the Seasonal rate’s period. 
  • If ‘Allow combination’ option remains unselected, the Longer stay rule will apply outside the Seasonal rate dates, regardless of whether they were established before or after.

Tip: The ‘Allow combination’ box needs to be checked for each Seasonal rate that you have on your listing. You can make these changes in the listings builder.

Checking this box when editing the Seasonal rates will allow a combination of your Seasonal rate with a Longer stay discount. Be sure to extend the maximum stay period in this case.

How is each discount applied in each OTA?

Stacking and priority of Your.Rentals discounts varies depending on the channel.

Longer stay at Airbnb: A listing in Airbnb can have up to 4 longer stay discount rules, created as Seasonal Rule Groups. However, only one rule group can be applied per period, with the latest one overriding the previous. 

Thus, only one longer stay rule can be sent from Your.Rentals to Airbnb: either Longer stay 28, Longer stay 21, Longer stay 14, or Longer stay 7 days (the minimum days rule).

Your.Rentals doesn’t send Longer stay 14/21/28 days discounts to Bookng.com, only Longer stays 7 days.

At Booking.com, promotions in Portfolio deals can be applied on top of Mobile rate. 

Unlike on Booking.com, if the listing has both Mobile discount and other discounts, Your.Rentals sends Mobile discount only.

Discounts on VRBO

VRBO always stacks discounts if some discounts are valid to be applied at the same time. Hence, not all Your.Rentals discounts will be applied to the VRBO channel.

Your.Rentals do not stack the discounts sent to Expedia, except for Membership deals, in case the “Can be stacked“ option is selected in the app.

It is Expedia who decides which discounts will be applied to the booking.
