Channel Compliance Guide
Understanding Channel Compliance
In some regions and countries, short-term rental listings must meet specific legal requirements, such as providing a registration number, rental license number, or other compliance details.
Many local authorities now mandate that property managers display this information to legally rent out their properties. Sales channels like Airbnb and Expedia also enforce these regulations, requiring compliance information before listings can be published.
Besides entering basic details in Your.Rentals, you may need to provide additional compliance information depending on the sales channel. You can manage these settings via the Channels page in Your.Rentals to ensure your listings remain compliant.
How to Add Channel Compliance
Follow these steps to ensure your listing meets compliance requirements:
- Log into Your.Rentals and navigate to the Channels page.
- Select the listing for which you want to add compliance details.
- Click the Manage listing button under the Airbnb or Expedia channel.
- Go to the Compliance tab and complete the required form.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
What Happens If You Don’t Add Compliance Information?
If Your Listing is Already Published on Airbnb & Expedia:
- The listing will be taken offline and marked as Closed.
- On the Your.Rentals Channels page, the status will update to Could not be sent.
- If your listing is in Italy, missing a CIN (Codice Identificativo Nazionale) will automatically switch it to long-term rentals, with a minimum stay of 31 nights.
If Your Listing is Not Yet Published on Airbnb & Expedia:
- The listing will not be eligible to be sent to these channels until the compliance details are completed.
Stay Updated
Compliance requirements may change over time. We recommend regularly checking the Channels page in Your.Rentals to ensure your listings remain compliant and avoid disruptions.
