How do I join a Booking.com seasonal deal?

To join a Booking.com seasonal deal, go to Channels in Your.Rentals and select the listing you want to set up the deal for. Open Booking.com’s Manage settings, go to the Promotions tab, and choose the deal you want to join: Black Friday Deal, Getaway Deal, Early Year Deal or Late Escape Deal. Select Set up on that deal, add a discount percentage and the stay dates you want it to cover, then select Save. Booking.com then features your listing in that deal’s campaign. You set up Booking.com seasonal deals for one listing at a time.

What are Booking.com seasonal deals?

Booking.com seasonal deals are sales that Booking.com runs at fixed times of year and promotes to guests across its site. Your.Rentals offers four of them: the Getaway Deal for spring and summer travel, the Early Year Deal for the quieter start of the year, the Late Escape Deal for end-of-year travel, and the Black Friday Deal for the Black Friday shopping period. For each deal, Booking.com decides when guests can book and which stay dates qualify. You decide the discount percentage and which of those stay dates you want to discount.

How do I set up a Booking.com seasonal deal?

To set up a Booking.com seasonal deal:

  1. Go to Channels and select the listing you want to set up the deal for.
  2. On Booking.com, select Manage settings and open the Promotions tab.
  3. Find the deal you want to join and select Set up. Deals that are open for sign-up show a blue Available until badge.
  4. Under Your discounts, select + Add discount.
  5. Enter your discount in the Discount field. The field shows the minimum Booking.com accepts for that deal.
  6. Set your Stay dates. These start as the deal’s full stay window and can be narrowed to any range inside it.
  7. Select Add, then select Save. Your listing joins the deal and the deal card changes to a green Active badge.

What is the minimum discount for a Booking.com seasonal deal?

Booking.com sets a minimum discount for each seasonal deal, and Your.Rentals shows it under the Discount field when you add a discount. The Getaway, Early Year and Late Escape Deals require at least 15% off. The Black Friday Deal requires at least 30% off. If you enter less than the minimum, Your.Rentals shows an error and you cannot add the discount until you raise it. Booking.com can change these minimums, so follow the figure shown in the Discount field rather than a remembered number.

Can I combine a Booking.com seasonal deal with my Genius discount?

The Getaway, Early Year and Late Escape Deals can be combined with Genius — Booking.com’s loyalty programme, which gives repeat guests an extra discount. A guest booking one of those deals can receive both discounts, so set your percentage with that in mind. The Black Friday Deal cannot be combined with any other discount, including Genius. Each deal’s page in Your.Rentals shows what it combines with under About this deal, next to Stacks with.

Which stay dates can I choose for a Booking.com seasonal deal?

Booking.com fixes two date ranges for every seasonal deal, and both appear under About this deal on the deal’s page in Your.Rentals. Guests can book is the period when guests can make a discounted booking — Booking.com sets this and you cannot change it. Guests can stay is the range of stay dates the deal can apply to. When you add a discount, your stay dates must fall inside the Guests can stay range, and Your.Rentals fills in the full range for you to narrow.

Good to know

  • You can add more than one discount to the same Booking.com seasonal deal — for example 15% off in January and 20% off in February. The stay-date ranges must not overlap, and dates already used by another discount cannot be selected.
  • If your discounts already cover a Booking.com seasonal deal’s whole stay window, you cannot add another discount until you shorten an existing one.
  • A Booking.com seasonal deal showing a grey Available from badge is not open for sign-up yet and has no Set up button. Booking.com opens each deal a few weeks before its stay window begins.
  • Removing every discount from a Booking.com seasonal deal takes your listing out of that deal. You can set it up again while the deal is still open.
