What are Special discounts?


Special discounts are deals that offer exclusive benefits and discounts for your guests when they search for the listings on particular sales channels like Airbnb, Agoda, Booking.com, and Expedia.

 


There are several benefits of adding special discounts to your listing

  • Increase listing visibility on the sales channel
  • Increase your bookings(upto 3x) and listing revenue (upto 2x)
  • Attract more customers (upto 2x repeat customers) 
  • Increase customer satisfaction

What kind of Special discounts can I enable?

 

We have multiple channels that support various special discounts. 

  1. Airbnb supports ‘New listing promotion’ - 20% discount to new listings with less than three bookings
  2. Agoda and Expedia supports ‘Membership deals’  - a 10% discount when guests book with their loyalty program in these channels
  3. Booking.com supports ‘Genius’ and ‘Preferred partner’(coming soon) -  allows you to grow your bookings with a promotion targeting guest enrolled with Genius loyalty program for 10%, 20%, and 30% offer to your guests

Where can I enable Special discounts in the app?


For Airbnb, Agoda, and Expedia - 

  1. Navigate to the listing you want to enable the Special discount.
  2. Under listing builder, go to the ‘Discounts’ step
  3. Under ‘Special discounts
    1. For Airbnb, select ‘Add New listing promotions’ and click ‘Enable’
    2. For Agoda and Expedia, select ‘Add membership deals’ and click ‘Enable’.

For Booking.com - 

  1. Navigate to ‘Channels’ under main navigation bar
  2. Under Booking.com, select ‘Manage settings’
  3. Under Discounts, click ‘Check eligibility’
  4. If the listing is eligible, you will see modal to confirm ‘Opt in’
  5. Select the Genius levels you want to configure and click ‘Save’


Congratulations! All Special discounts have been configured successfully and guests will enjoy the discounts for all their bookings in these channels. 

Frequently Asked Questions


  • Do we stack all discounts? 

No, we do not stack any discounts. We currently send all discounts set in YR to Expedia and they decide how to stack these discounts. Different channels have different ways of stacking. For example - a sales channel will sum up the percentage of all discounts while another sales channel will apply the first discount followed by the second discount and so on. Hence, it's up to the sales channel to decide how they stack discounts. 

 

  • Why don’t we support other channels?

We are currently only supporting Airbnb, Agoda, Booking.com, and Expedia. We will add other channels soon.
