Why aren't my listing changes showing on Airbnb? (Full connection)
If you update a listing in Your.Rentals and the change doesn't appear on Airbnb, the most common cause is that the field was edited directly on Airbnb at some point.
When you edit certain listing details directly on Airbnb, Airbnb locks those fields and stops accepting updates for them from Your.Rentals.
Your connection is not broken; only the locked fields stop syncing. To fix it, unlock the fields in your Airbnb account, then update the listing in Your.Rentals again.
Why does editing a listing on Airbnb stop it from syncing
With a Full connection (the API connection where Your.Rentals manages your Airbnb listing), Your.Rentals is meant to be the single place where you edit your listing.
If you change a listing detail directly on Airbnb, for example, the description, Airbnb assumes you want to manage that field on Airbnb from then on. Airbnb locks the field, and updates made in Your.Rentals no longer sync to Airbnb for that field. All other fields continue to sync normally.
Your.Rentals shows no warning when this happens. Changes simply stop appearing on Airbnb.
Which listing details Airbnb can lock
Airbnb can lock these listing details when they are edited directly on Airbnb: listing title and description texts, check-in and check-out instructions, house rules text, property type, amenities, and the address and map location. Prices, availability, and bookings are not affected - they always sync from Your.Rentals.
How to unlock the fields in your Airbnb account
- Log in to your Airbnb account.
- Go to Listings and select the affected listing.
- In the Listing editor, click Settings.
- Under Edit preferences, select Property management software.
- Click Manage from {Your.Rentals} app instead.
All fields listed in that section are unlocked, and Airbnb accepts updates from Your.Rentals again.
How to send your Your.Rentals content to Airbnb again
Unlocking the fields on Airbnb does not automatically resend your Your.Rentals content. To push the content across, open the listing in Your.Rentals: go to the locked field, make a small edit or re-enter the content, then save. The saved content then syncs to Airbnb.
How to avoid locked fields in the future
Make all changes to your listing in Your.Rentals, not on Airbnb. Any listing detail you edit directly on Airbnb can become locked, which stops that field from syncing.
