Entering difficult or rural addresses

What happens if my address is not recognised?

It's important that your property location is correct so that it shows up correctly on holiday rentals websites and so that guests can book it.
Sometimes your property has an address that is not recognised by Google maps, for example if you don't have a street name or street number in a rural area.

What is a difficult address?

Here is an example of a difficult address to enter:

  • Country: Greece

  • Street address: (none)

  • Town/city: Lilikas (closest town)

  • Island (area): Chios

  • Region: North Agean

  • Postal code: 82102

Without a street address Google Maps sometimes struggles to know where a property is located.

We'd suggest in this case to enter the address as:

  • Country: Greece

  • Street address: Lilikas

  • Town/city: Chios

  • Region: North Agean

  • Postal code: 82102

You should then adjust the map pin so that it is in the correct location.

Entering a difficult address

  1. If you have an error on the page, reload the page with ctrl+R on your keyboard.

  2. The form will be cleared.

  3. Make sure that all required fields have values, and that the Country, Region and Postal codes are correct.

  4. Click the Save address button.

  5. The map will show with the pin in an approximate location.

  6. Make sure that you zoom in on the map and place the map pin in the correct position.

Sales channels will import your property location from latitude/longitude and place it correctly it in their geographic structure.
