Channel-specific settings: Booking.com

What are channel-specific settings?

Channel-specific settings refer to the unique settings and options available on OTAs like Booking.com that are not covered by a general listing builder. These features allow you to optimise your listings on each platform, tailoring your property profiles to meet the distinct requirements and preferences of different channels. 

Why is it important that I can use all settings offered by Booking.com?

By using channel-specific settings, you can have more complete listings that will better inform your guests.  

The channel-specific settings allow you to create more competitive listings that will lead to higher visibility, increased clicks, and ultimately, more bookings. 

In essence, channel-specific features enable you to fully harness the potential of each sales channel and maximise your property's performance.

Ultimately, you can create listings that appeal to a wider range of potential guests, leading to higher occupancy rates and increased revenue. 

How do I find the channel-specific features for Booking.com at Your.Rentals?

When you log in you might have already encountered a message that introduces you to the feature and shortly explains how it works:



  • Select “Get started” at the last step to begin using the channel-specific settings!

If you do not wish to jump right into it, you can follow the steps below to get access to the Booking.com channel-specific settings:


  • Go to “Channels”. 
  • Find Booking.com, and select “Manage settings”. 

What do the channel settings of Booking.com allow me to do?

You are able to manage settings such as Property settings, Discounts, and Policies (the latter two are coming soon). 

You are able to manage these settings even when your property is not listed on the channel, i.e. when the channel is turned off. But, the settings will go into effect only when the channel is active, and the listing is published on the channel. 


You can access these settings on desktop computers, and access from mobile devices is coming soon. 

What can I adjust in Property settings?

The channel-specific Property settings allow you to set more detailed descriptions of your property in regards to:


  • Facilities and services
  • Health and safety
  • Sustainability


These include services such as Parking and Breakfast, for which many settings are available. In total, you can choose from more than 200 facilities.

  • Select the one you wish to edit, and follow the steps.


  • Once you are done, click “Save”.
