DAC7 2025 – Customer FAQ

1. Why does the income reported not match my gross booking amounts?

The income reported under DAC7 represents the net consideration paid or credited to you after platform and channel fees.

2. Why is my income reported in this currency?

Income is reported in the currency set in your Your.Rentals account. If the account currency was changed during the year, earlier bookings are converted using the exchange rate on the booking creation date.

3. Why is Airbnb income missing from my DAC7 report?

If you have connected your own Airbnb host account and provided taxpayer details to Airbnb, Airbnb reports that income directly and Your.Rentals does not duplicate it.

4. Why are income and fees shown in specific quarters?

Income, fees, and activity counts are allocated to quarters based on the booking check-in date. Stayed nights are reported as a yearly total.

5. Why do I see income even though a guest cancelled?

If a booking was cancelled but income was retained under a non-refundable or partial refund policy, that amount is still reportable under DAC7.

6. Does the reported income include VAT?

Yes. Income is usually reported as a single amount that includes VAT. VAT reporting must be handled separately according to national rules.

7. Why is my VAT number shown but not used in calculations?

VAT numbers are used only as identifiers for entity sellers and do not affect income or fee calculations.

8. Can I deduct other expenses from the reported income?

You may be able to deduct additional expenses under your national tax rules. The DAC7 report already includes Your.Rentals and channel fees.

9. Which tax authority receives my DAC7 data?

Your.Rentals reports DAC7 data to the Danish tax authority, which may share it with other EU tax authorities.
