Getting started with Optional Extras

Adding Optional Extras to your bookings is a great way to increase your revenue stream by charging for any extra services that you want to offer at your property and collecting all the payments online.

It allows you to manage and plan all your bookings ahead while making a better experience for your guests.

All your potential guests can see, and book online all the optional extras that you have previously set on your listing at the “Extras -> Optional extras and services” step within the Listing Builder.

Where to book Optional Extras

Your guests will be able to book any of the Optional Extras services on your direct booking links including: the booking details page, extras upselling page (a link from booking confirmation and reminder emails to your guests) and the listing booking pages of your own website (only available on Your.Rentals websites) right before payment.

A standard service fee from Your.Rentals will be charged, and VAT, if applicable, will be applied to the guest payment amount.

Setting the Optional Extras

  • First choose the supported Optional Extra
  • Set the pricing configuration or offer it for free to make your offer more attractive to your guests.
  • Establish the pre-ordering and cancelling timings.
  • Add any additional information you wish to share with your guests about the optional extra service.

Specific rules for Early check-in and Late check-out:


The default values for the earliest time the guest can order “Early check-in” is 48 hours before check-in and for “Late check-out” is 24 hours before check-out.

The default values for the latest time the guest can order “Early check-in” is 24 hours before check-in and for “Late check-out” is No Restrictions.

If there is a check-out already on a certain date from another booking, the “Early check-in” extra optional service will not be shown as an available option for that specific same date (check-out date) on the guest pages.
